1. Scope & agreement
This policy applies to the Naam Jap Counter Android app and this marketing / policy website. By installing or using the App, you acknowledge this notice. If you do not agree, please uninstall the App and discontinue use.
2. Categories of information we process
The App is designed for community spiritual programmes. Depending on your use, we may process:
- Account & authentication: Firebase Authentication user identifiers (UID), display name, account creation timestamp, and optional profile photo (stored in Firebase Storage with an HTTPS URL reference in your user profile). If you use email and password sign-in: your email address and password are handled by Firebase Authentication (we do not store your password in plain text in our own databases). If you use Sign in with Google: Google processes authentication under Google’s policies; the App receives identifiers, email, and name supplied by Google in the sign-in result, which Firebase links to your account.
- Event & participation data: event names, mantras, imagery metadata, event type (public/private), join/invite codes, host (admin) identifiers, participant lists, join timestamps, and whether an event is active or closed.
- Jap (counter) data: counts and related participation fields associated with your user ID and event IDs, synchronised via Google Cloud Firestore when you are online.
- Questionnaires: questions authored by hosts and answers you submit, linked to your user ID and the relevant event.
- NGO directory (Seva Connect): listings and metadata shown in the App (for example organisation names, categories, descriptions, website URLs, and verification-style flags as presented in the App).
- Technical & operational data: device network state signals used to show connectivity hints, and standard diagnostic data processed by Google when you use Google Play, Firebase, and Android services (see Section 6).
We do not sell your personal information and we do not use your spiritual practice data to build third-party advertising profiles through the App.
3. Purposes & legal bases
We process information to:
- Provide App features you request (account, events, jap counter, questionnaires, NGO browsing, reporting for hosts).
- Maintain integrity and security (for example duplicate-join safeguards, validating closed events, protecting access to private events).
- Comply with applicable law and respond to lawful requests.
Where the GDPR / UK GDPR applies, we rely on performance of a contract / steps prior to contract, legitimate interests (such as fraud prevention, product integrity, and responding to support requests you initiate), consent where required (for example certain optional profile fields or permissions), and legal obligations where applicable.
4. Permissions
The App may request Android permissions including:
- Internet & network state — to synchronise data with Firebase and to show offline/online status where implemented.
You can review or revoke permissions in Android Settings. Revoking network access may prevent sync and sign-in features from working.
5. Service providers & processors
The App uses Google Firebase (including Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Firebase Storage) operated by Google LLC / its affiliates as an infrastructure and analytics processor under Google’s terms and policies.
When you install or update the App from Google Play, Google processes certain information under Google’s Privacy Policy (for example app delivery, Play integrity, and device-level settings you control). When you choose Google as a sign-in method, Google also processes authentication and account-linking steps under those policies.
This Privacy Policy does not govern Google’s own processing; please review Google’s disclosures for details.
6. Data location, transfers & retention (summary)
Firebase resources may be provisioned in regions determined by our Firebase project configuration. Data may be processed in India, the United States, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or other countries where Google operates data centres, consistent with applicable law and Google’s safeguards.
Retention depends on whether data remains needed to provide the App and meet legal obligations. A practical summary for common scenarios appears on our Data retention page.
7. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the nature of the service (including secure transport to Firebase, access rules intended to protect private events, and application-level checks such as single questionnaire submission where implemented). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please protect your account credentials and device.
8. Your choices & rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict certain processing, and to object or withdraw consent where processing is consent-based.
Account deletion: You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information by emailing contact@erevolutionsindia.com from the email address associated with your account. We will verify ownership where reasonable and process requests in line with applicable law. Some information may be retained if required for legal compliance or legitimate security/audit needs.
You may also delete the App from your device; this does not automatically erase cloud data already stored in Firebase — use the contact above for account-level deletion.
9. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum digital age in your jurisdiction). Accounts are intended for teens and adults participating in community programmes. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
10. California (CPRA) — summary
California residents may have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including to know, delete, and correct personal information, and to opt out of certain “sharing” as defined by law. We do not sell personal information for money. Submit requests via contact@erevolutionsindia.com.
11. India (DPDPA) — notice
Where India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 applies, we process personal data fairly and for lawful purposes, provide this notice, and address grievances through the contact above as required.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect product, legal, or regulatory changes. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date. Where required by Google Play policy or applicable law, we will provide additional notice for material changes.
